Timeline of notes and letters from Slender: The Arrival

Mostly just encompasses The Eight Pages and is subject to change.

CALENDAR

There is no evidence that S:TA takes place in 2010, roughly 6-8 months after Beth Hayes' death, but the information provided by collectibles seems to make it a very strong possibility.

As a result, the calendar here is written as if these events all take place between October 2009 to roughly late spring or summer of 2010. Hover over the images to enlarge.

9. NO DATE | Kate, leaving this note in case you wake up tonight. The doctors here will help you.

10. Friday, April 12, 7:52 AM | RE: Back home | Glad you're feeling better... My house doesn't feel safe anymore. I haven't slept in a few weeks either... I think I know somewhere where we can stay.

PRIOR TO CHAPTER 6: ESCAPE

Kate could have wanted to sell her house in response to either her mother's passing or CR's offer to stay somewhere else after the events of The Eight Pages.

If it was in response to her mother's passing, however, it would have taken an inexplicably long time (around 5-6 months) for Lauren, who agreed to help, to make the trip. It's not impossible, but it might be equally probable that Kate was feigning cheerfulness in her thank you note below.

NO DATE: Kate's thank you note. | I can't thank you enough for coming out all this way to help me out! It's been a pretty rough road trying to sell this old place... You have no idea how happy I'll be once this is all behind me.

CR's voicemail.

NO DATE: CR's apology note | I want to see you again. I can't stop thinking about you, Kate. I want to protect you.

PRIOR TO CHAPTER 6: ESCAPE, CR'S DEATH

11. NO DATE | Outside. I need to die before it catches me.

12. NO DATE | The house had to go. It can't save me anymore.

13. NO DATE | Meet me by the street in an hour. I left a list of things to bring with you. Don't tell Lauren about me

Just before CR's suicide. (Does not have the dying screams but still be cautious of the volume).

CHAPTER 6: ESCAPE

CHAPTER 1: PROLOGUE --> SLENDER: THE ARRIVAL

CHAPTER 7: HOMESTEAD

The placement of Homestead in the S:TA timeline is very difficult to determine. The only thing we can conclude is that it's early on, before The Eight Pages or the events immediately leading up to it, as there's no way for it to come in the middle or afterward for obvious reasons. This would have to have been early as any later would make CR's interest abrupt and inexplicable considering their circumstances. When CR refers to Kate "helping him," he may have been referencing their conversations about their shared memories of Slender Man around the time of his third message.

This is my personal best guess for where it could have taken place, putting it somewhere within the 93-day gap between CR's second and fourth emails, sent in late November and late February, respectively. This would mean that Kate and CR both later forgot about the Matheson family mystery as their focus shifted to their hallucinations and declining mental states. However, the way these emails are written do not give the impression of them having had any contact inbetween, aside from CR's third message, so I can't be sure. In fact, his fourth email is titled "Checking in,"
so if Homestead did take place within this timeframe at all, it likely would have been in December or early January, although Homestead as a level itself isn't particularly wintery.

NO DATE: Charles' Notebook. | This guy keeps stopping by my house asking about my son. I keep telling him to go away. He's getting more and more desperate.

?. NO DATE | RE: Fun times ahead | Kate, this is pretty exciting, isn't it? This whole mystery...

✰. NO DATE | RE: You're not going to believe this | I've been doing some digging and came across an old plot of land that belonged to the Matheson family.

Note: The "RE:" in the "?" and "✰" are almost certainly CR replying to his own emails, containing what was likely information about the Matheson family tragedy in the first "Fun times ahead" and his recordings in the first "You're not going to believe this".
Kate would not have had the context to write to him about those subjects beforehand.
